Open Camera is a comprehensive Camera app that offers a wide range of features. It is worth noting that this app is completely free, without any third-party ads.
One of the standout features of Open Camera is its auto-level option, which ensures that your pictures are perfectly level regardless of the angle. Additionally, it provides various other functionalities such as support for scene modes, color effects, white balance, ISO, exposure compensation/lock, selfie with "screen flash", HD video, and more.
Open Camera also includes handy remote controls like a timer with optional voice countdown and an auto-repeat mode with a configurable delay. Moreover, you can even take photos remotely by making a noise.
The app also allows for customization options such as configuring volume keys and the user interface. It even provides an upside-down preview option specifically designed for use with attachable lenses. Furthermore, you have the choice to overlay grids and crop guides for better composition.
For those who want to add additional information to their photos and videos, Open Camera offers optional GPS location tagging (geotagging), including compass direction. You can also apply date and timestamp, location coordinates, and custom text to your photos, with the ability to store date/time and location as video subtitles (.SRT). Additionally, there is an option to remove device exif metadata from photos.
If you enjoy panoramic photography, Open Camera has got you covered. It even supports front camera panorama shots. Additionally, it offers support for HDR with auto-alignment and ghost removal, as well as Exposure Bracketing.
Open Camera goes beyond the standard camera app capabilities by supporting Camera2 API. This means you can have manual controls with optional focus assist, burst mode, RAW (DNG) files support, camera vendor extensions, slow motion video capture, and log profile video.
The app also features noise reduction, including a low light night mode, as well as Dynamic Range Optimization modes. Furthermore, you have the option to enable on-screen histogram, zebra stripes, and focus peaking for better exposure and focus control.
